Ocean Oasis

A sanctuary in the treetops, Ocean Oasis is a coastal renovation project brought to life by the Ze Build team, designed to embrace the light, the view, and the art of laid back living.

Originally a dated 90s structure nestled into the lush hills above Hatfields Beach, the home underwent a renovation with extension to elevate its layout, materials and presence, transforming it into a contemporary coastal retreat with knockout views across the bay.

Renovation for the View

Our brief was clear: make the view the hero. We reconfigured the main living zones and replaced outdated joinery with full height sliders and black framed windows to create flow, light, and connection to the expansive deck overlooking the ocean.

The open plan living and dining space now captures every moment of sun, sea and serenity, framed by high raking ceilings and finished with warm woodgrain flooring.

A Bold Kitchen

At the heart of the renovation is a bold and dramatic kitchen. Dark cabinetry is paired with a striking black terrazzo style benchtop and splashback, adding modern polish while still complimenting the natural surroundings. From soft touch cabinetry to integrated appliances and LED accents, the kitchen now functions as both a practical workspace and visual anchor of the home.

Shrink Wrapped, Staged & Seamless

Renovating a live in home over multiple levels, in a high exposure coastal spot? That’s our kind of challenge. With full shrink wrap protection and a carefully staged build, our team removed the old kitchen and dining area (including exterior walls and the original membrane deck above) and pushed the home outward, extending the floorplan, reframing external walls, and installing new structural steel.
